Installation:
Designed for straightforward installation, this lock set includes all necessary hardware and step-by-step guidance.
Tools Needed:
-
3.2 mm drill bit (for pilot holes ONLY)
-
4 mm Allen® key
-
Phillips screwdriver
-
Marker or pencil
Important: Do not use an impact drill or power driver to tighten screws. Use a screwdriver only to avoid damaging components.
Position the Lock - Hold the lock on the inner door frame near the B-pillar, leaving a 3 mm gap between the lock body and the pillar.
Align the Bolt - Extend the bolt fully. It should just touch the plastic trim on the B-pillar. Adjust the rubber seal at bolt height so it doesn’t interfere.
Mark and Drill - Mark the screw hole positions carefully. Remove the lock and drill holes with a 3.2 mm bit.
Mount the Lock - Reposition the lock and secure it using the included sheet metal tapping screws and a 4 mm Allen® key.
Install the Bolt Stop - Mount the included bolt stop on the B-pillar where the bolt lands. This reinforces the locking point.
Test the Lock - Close the door slowly. Make sure the bolt slides cleanly past the rubber seal and the knob turns and locks smoothly.
Important: Do not force the door closed. Adjust alignment if needed. Check screw tightness after a few uses.
