Installation Guide
- Enlist the assistance of a friend or family member to securely hold the Recovery Boards in the desired position. Attach the threaded plastic discs to the selected holes and ensure they are properly aligned with the vehicle's body.
- Prior to drilling, carefully consider the specific characteristics of your vehicle and determine the optimal placement for the holes, taking into account whether you prefer a transverse, horizontal, or asymmetrical positioning of the Boards.
- Mark the center points of the two threaded plastic discs on the vehicle's surface using a felt-tip pen.
- Proceed to drill two 12mm diameter holes in the vehicle's body sheet. If there is upholstery on the inner side that you wish to preserve, remove it before drilling.
- Insert the screws with a base plate into the drilled holes, then secure the two threaded plastic discs from the outside and tighten them using a standard angle grinder wrench. If upholstery was removed, reattach it at this stage.
- Place the Recovery Boards onto the screws, attach the plastic cover discs, and hand-tighten the security nuts.
- Once the positioning is confirmed, mark or measure where the bolts need to be cut.
- Loosen the security nuts and remove the recovery boards. Use a saw or angle grinder to cut the screws, then deburr the cut ends.
- Proceed to permanently install the boards, tightening the security nuts to a similar level of strength as when mounting a cutting disc in an angle grinder.
