  • Integrated second water loop (e.g. for underfloor heating, towel radiator, or vehicle coolant circuit).
  • Stainless steel boiler and heat exchanger, saltwater-resistant.
  • Rotatable mounting for multiple installation options.
  • Manufactured in Western Europe - Highest workmanship standards and controls
  • Insulation made of closed-cell PU foam minimizes heat loss.
  • High Durability - Extremely robust, shockproof outer shell for enhanced durability
  • High Flexibility - Offers flexibility in installation and ensures 100% tightness of connections through standardized G1/2'' threaded screw connections
  • Minimal flow resistance - suitable for usage up to 4kW/twin kit
  • Easy to Winterize - Equipped with an integrated safety valve and a drain valve for safe storage and maintenance.

Please take note: If your heater is already installed, be mindful when choosing the volume, considering not only the amount of water you want to heat but also the available space in the camper for boiler installation (preferably in a straight line, near the heater).

How does it work?

with air heater systems
With FLOW heater/engine coolant systems
Powered purely on electricity

with air heater systems

The warm air from the heater can be channeled into the boiler via a 90mm connection and an air-to-water heat exchanger. The inlet and outlet are interchangeable, allowing either side to function as the inlet. The heating duration is influenced by variables such as the initial water temperature in the boiler, the intake air temperature of the heater, and the flow rate. It is crucial to ensure that the temperature within the boiler does not surpass 85°C, necessitating timely shutdown of the heater. The Autoterm Comfort Boiler Control heater control panel facilitates automatic shutdown, eliminating the need for manual control flaps. In instances of exceptionally high demand for warm air, such as very low temperatures with poorly insulated cabins, a control flap may still be beneficial. In the absence of Comfort Boiler Control, warm air should be redirected away from the boiler using a control flap or other suitable methods to prevent overheating.

With FLOW heater/engine coolant systems

The boiler can integrate into the motor's coolant circuit to heat domestic water or a second water loop. Conversely, it can preheat the engine for a gentler start, except in extremely cold Arctic temperatures. Integration options include:

  1. Heating domestic water while driving, with caution due to potential high temperatures exceeding 100°C, which could lead to boiling and dangerous steam generation. Measures to prevent overheating include using a valve or disabling the circulation pump to limit the boiler temperature to 85°C.
  2. Preheating the engine's coolant circuit using a power source or warm air to prevent freezing in low temperatures. The effectiveness depends on ambient temperatures and engine size, and in arctic conditions, combining with an Autoterm Flow heater may be advisable.
  3. Transferring heat energy to a second water loop for underfloor heating or a towel drying radiator. Careful regulation of flow temperature and consultation with a dealer is recommended.

Powered purely on electricity

The electric heating element can be operated from the 110V shore power.. The heating time depends on the initial water temperature in the boiler. Operate the electric heating element only when hot water is actually needed. Thus, continuous operation to the heating element is not recommended.

ATTENTION : The electric heating element must not be operated when the boiler is dry. In such a case, no liability can be assumed for damages.

WHICH MODEL TO CHOOSE FOR MY VEHICLE / BOAT?

Selecting the correct model can be challenging; here are some tips and information:

DIMENSIONS :

9L CombiBOIL is 484 x 270 x 272 mm / 19.05 x 10.63 x 10.71" for 10.39Kg / 22.91lbs

12L CombiBOIL is : 579 x 270 x 272 mm / 22.80 x 10.63 x 10.71" for 14.53Kg / 32.03lbs

NUMBER OF PERSONS THAT CAN TAKE CONSECUTIVE SHOWERS :

9L CombiBOIL : Up to 3 people

12L CombiBOIL : Up to 4 people

CAN I Use IT with another heater brand or model ?

While the use of an Autoterm heater (2D or 4D) is not essential for the operation of the combiBOIL, it's important to note that alternative heaters can also generate hot air for heating the water. However, it's crucial to understand that without the integration of temperature measurement and safety functions, which are only available when used with an Autoterm heater and its corresponding control panel, certain safety features may not be accessible.

ATTENTION : In such cases, the manual operation of a control flap becomes a prerequisite for ensuring safe operation.

ADDITIONNAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INSTALLATION :

ATTENTION : Every vehicle or setup is different !

Certain components are not universal and modifications may needed. Factors such as installation location and specific vehicle type may require different components suitable for your land or water vehicle.

Heater Mount / Installation Flange:
While the heater can be installed without a mount, this approach is more complex and carries the risk of misalignment with the hole pattern, leading to tensions or inadequate heat dissipation. It is generally advisable to use a mount or an installation flange, streamlining the installation process and providing effective thermal isolation. For the Hot Shower Kit, a mount like the one provided is typically utilized.

Water Hoses:

  • Each vehicle's water system requires specific hose lines tailored to its setup.
  • Calculate the required length of hot and cold water hoses based on the installation positions of the heater, boiler, and other components.
  • Ensure the hoses are certified for drinking or cooking water to prevent harmful substance transfer and maintain water taste and quality.

Important:
If the water is intended for drinking or cooking, we strongly recommend checking for the appropriate certification of the hoses. This ensures that no harmful substances transfer to the drinking water and that the material does not alter the taste and composition of the water.

Pressure Regulator:

  • Limit the input pressure to 1.5 bar for our stainless steel boiler tank.
  • Use a pressure regulator set to 1 to 1.5 bar in all pressurized water systems, especially those with immersion pumps.
  • The Hot Shower Kit 2.0 includes a built-in safety valve, eliminating the need for a separate purchase.

Water Pump:

  • Select a reliable pump capable of providing steady pressure and circulation, even when water is being filtered.
  • Consider factors such as longevity and reparability when choosing a pump for the water system.
These factors are vital for maintaining the efficient operation and safety of your land or water vehicle's water system.
