- Position the Inner Lock – Picture 1
With the door closed, position the inner lock housing at the desired height along the edge of the door.
Ensure there is at least a 3 mm gap between the door frame and the rubber seal.
Open and close the door to check the alignment. Adjust the height of the housing if needed.
Mark the top and bottom edges of the inner lock on the door.- Disassemble and Mark Drill Holes – Pictures 2, 3, and 4
Remove the two screws (M5 x 7 mm) from the inner lock to separate the inner plate.
Hold the inner plate between the two marks you made.
Mark five holes: four for mounting screws and one in the center for the grief stem.- Drill Pilot Holes – Picture 6
Drill all five marked positions using a 6 mm drill bit.
To check alignment, temporarily place the outer lock (without the seal) on the outside of the door.- Widen Holes from the Outside – Picture 7
Using a 12 mm drill bit, enlarge the four screw holes from the outside of the door, but do not drill deeper than 22 mm.
Drill the center hole for the grief stem completely using a 20 mm drill bit.- Fit Spacer Plates – Picture 8
Adjust the inner plate using the included spacer plates so that the gap between the door frame and the bolt (when the door is closed) is approximately 2 mm.- Install the Outer Lock – Picture 9
Place the outer lock housing on the outside of the door, aligned with the previously drilled holes.- Lightly Secure Inner Plate – Picture 10
Lightly fasten the inner plate and spacer plates using the included screws, just enough to hold them in position.- Fit and Trim the Grief Stem – Pictures 11 to 13
Insert the grief stem through the inner plate.
Mark the excess length of the stem that protrudes.
Cut the stem so it fits precisely into the driver pins inside the locking cylinder.- Final Assembly
